Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, the hotel maintains its original midcentury modern design, including a courtyard swimming pool. The wall décor features pages from The Boston Phoenix, a respected alternative weekly and Fenway landmark until its shutdown in 2013, and rock memorabilia from the extensive collection of David Bieber, who spent 19 years at The Phoenix.
